our history
In 1984, a group of local residents took the initiative to establish a harbour at Gyldendal. The Aarhus firm Hoffman & Sønner prepared the plans, and after successfully selling boat berths and securing all necessary permits, construction began in the autumn of 1985.
The building of the harbour required large amounts of material and many hours of volunteer work. In May 1986, the harbour was officially opened with a big celebration. Since then, volunteers have continued to maintain and expand the harbour with new floating pontoons and facilities – to the delight of both sailors and visiting tourists.
